Our History
Life coincidences in most instances have divine implications. Who will have thought that, a journey which started from Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana will lead to the birth of one of the vibrant charismatic ministries led by a Prophet? Faithword Charismatic Ministries began as a house fellowship on the 3rd of August 2008; exactly 3 months after the birth of a beautiful girl by name Delicia- EL Nhyira Afari, the second (2nd) born of Prophet Daniel Agyarko Afari. The plastic chairs and canopies used during the outdooring this beautiful new born baby girl were used to start the initial fellowship,
from the rented premises of Prophet Daniel Agyarko Afari, at Pantang Junction near Adenta. The fellowship started with All Night prayers led by the Daniel Agyarko Afari and supported by his wife and Robert Sangmortey, in his living room. The all-night prayers grew to attract other past students from the University of Cape Coast (Prophet Daniel Agyarko’s Alma Mata) residing in Accra. After realizing a sizeable number of devoted and committed members, the vision of the church was cast to them and, regular services started. This marked the beginning and birth of Faithword Charismatic Ministries Worldwide.
As an itinerary preacher, Prophet Daniel Agyarko travels extensively across Ghana and other countries for many outreach programmes. The birth of Faithword Charismatic Ministries therefore calls for some form of publicity during his itinerary preaching. Thus, out of these programmes, lots of new converts joined the church to help with its building and on-going soul winning.
However, as with the building of any organization, most of the initial founding members drifted along the line, whiles the Lord brought in new members. Notwithstanding the low numerical strength of the Church, it gained popularity within the Pantang Junction vicinity, where the Church was located. The intensive prayer sessions drew the attention of many who were living in the surrounding communities.
The Church began organizing other programmes in addition to its Sunday services. The first amongst them was the Atmosphere for Prayer and Miracles (APAM) – a spiritual emphasis week of prayer and fasting; with strong emphasis on prayers. This programme attracted lots new members as the hand of God was always present in the service with miracles, signs and wonders.
